About Sustainability Partnerships
Sustainability Partnerships works to increase awareness, promote informed opinion, and encourage constructive engagement on matters around the climate and ecological emergency. We build close working partnerships to expand and diversify our combined influence.
We are a not-for-profit organisation which exists to raise awareness and promote education about climate change and environmental issues. We work in tandem with young people and a number of partner organisations to foster wider community engagement on these important issues.
A major part of the work of Sustainability Partnerships is to develop platforms which 'give voice' to people on the climate and environmental issues that matter the most to them.
1.5 MAX : Global Schools' Climate Summit
Sustainability Partnerships have organised 1.5 MAX, an educational event that brings eight Scottish schools together with schools from Mozambique, Malawi and Nepal. The summit will take place from 5th to 7th October 2021. The products, pledges and video stories developed by each participating school will be showcased here and on the 1.5 MAX web site ahead of the UN's COP26 Climate Change Conference, held in Glasgow, 1st to 12th November 2021.
We believe that 1.5 MAX will be an important step towards developing a school-centred approach to Climate Education and related issues - informing models which could ultimately be applied across the region, as well as nationally, and perhaps even globally.
Our aim is to inspire schools, teachers and pupils across participating regions to develop their own versions of the summit program in response to COP26 and the ongoing climate and ecological emergency.
Working in Partnership
We work with a broad range of organisations, groups, and individuals, and are interested in hearing from anybody working in the general area of the environment. Whether you want to explore and develop new ideas, already have an ongoing project in mind, or have skills, expertise or resources that could enhance the work we are doing, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us by Email, social-media or our Contact Form below.
